Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam issued Official Questionnaires for foreign producers and exporters in the anti-dumping investigation on certain hot-rolled steel originating from the Republic of India and the People's Republic of China (Case number: AD20)
On July 26th, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1985⁄QD-BCT to conduct an anti-dumping investigation on certain hot-rolled steel originating from the Republic of India and the People's Republic of China (Case number: AD20). Details of the scope, contents and timeline of the investigation are provided in Decision No. 1985⁄QD-BCT and its attached Notice.
The Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam (Investigating Authority) sent official questionnaires for foreign producers and exporters of whom the Investigating Authority is aware. The deadline to respond to the questionnaires is before 5pm, September 18th, 2024 (Hanoi Time).
To ensure their legitimate rights and interests, the Investigating Authority recommends that all interested parties that are foreign producers/exporters participate and fully cooperate throughout the investigation. The questionnaire responses shall provide the basis for the Investigating Authority to select samples limiting the scope of the investigation if necessary. If the Investigating Authority does not receive timely responses from foreign producers/exporters or if the information provided is inaccurate or insufficient pursuant to the Investigating Authority’s requirements, the Investigating Authority shall use facts available to issue a determination pursuant to Article 75 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management.
Information and data provided in the questionnaire responses and the right to access information of interested parties during the investigation shall be implemented pursuant to legal provisions on confidential information in Article 11 Decree No.10/2018/ND-CP dated 15 January 2018 detailing some articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management on trade remedies.
Instructions on how to respond to the questionnaires, the methods of submission and the deadline for submission are detailed in the Questionnaires. Therefore, the Investigating Authority requests foreign producers/exporters to read the instructions carefully prior to answering and to submit the responses on time.
