Canadian Dumping and Subsidy Investigation Authority issued final conclusions of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy investigations against copper tube fittings from Vietnam

On April 25, 2018, the Canadian Border Agency (CBSA) issued the final conclusion anti-dumping investigation and subsidy against copper tube fittings (CPF- copper pipe fittings) originated or imported from Vietnam.

Accordingly, CBSA concluded that copper pipe fittings were subsidized and dumped into Canada. The rate of subsidy and dumping margin for CBSA are 30.6% and 159% for Vietnamese exporters. It is expected that the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (CITT), which is in charge of investigating injury for the domestic industry of Canada, would issue the final conclusion on 25 May 2018. In the event CITT concluded that the dumped and subsidized imports cause injury / threaten to cause significant injury to the domestic industry, Canada would apply anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures.

The database for the assessment and determination of the final findings will be announced by the CBSA within 15 days of the date of the notice of final conclusion.
