The Ministry of Industry and Trade extends the deadline for reviewing new exporters in the case of applying measures to prevent evasion of trade defense measures for certain sugar products.

On December 11, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 3180/QD-BCT on reviewing new exporters in the case of applying measures to prevent evasion of trade defense measures for certain sugar products (case code: NR02.AC02.AD13-AS01).

In order to have more time to comprehensively and objectively consider issues related to the case as well as opinions of relevant parties, based on the provisions of Articles 82 and 90 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management No. 05/2017/QH14, dated March 11, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 494/QD-BCT on extending the deadline for reviewing new exporters in the case of applying anti-evasion measures against trade defense measures for some sugar cane products by 03 months, accordingly the deadline for completing the investigation of the case is June 11, 2024.
