The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a Decision to review the application of measures to prevent the evasion of trade defense measures on some sugar cane products (case code: AR01.AC02.AD13-AS01)
On August 3, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 1989⁄QD-BCT on the results of the first review of the application of anti-dumping and anti-subsidy measures on some sugar cane products originating from the Kingdom of Thailand.
Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 58 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP dated January 15, 2018 of the Government detailing a number of articles of the Law on Foreign Trade Management on trade defense measures, within 60 days before the end of 01 year from the date of the official decision to apply anti-dumping measures or the latest decision on the results of the review of anti-dumping measures, relevant parties may submit a request for review. Accordingly, the Department of Trade Remedies has received a review dossier from the Vietnam Sugarcane and Sugar Association representing domestic manufacturing enterprises requesting a review of measures to prevent evasion of trade defense measures for a number of cane sugar products. Based on the review of the dossier submitted by the relevant parties in accordance with the provisions of law, on September 6, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2386/QD-BCT on reviewing the application of measures to prevent the evasion of trade defense measures for some sugar cane products (case code: AR01.AC02.AD13-AS01).
To ensure the interests of all organizations and individuals related to the case, the Department of Trade Remedies recommends the following organizations and individuals:
Organizations and individuals register related parties according to the Related Party Registration Form in Appendix I issued with Circular No. 37/2019/TT-BCT and send it to the Investigation Agency via the Online Trade Defense Dossier Receiving System (TRAV ONLINE - https://online.trav.gov.vn) within sixty (60) working days from the effective date of the decision to conduct the review. At the same time, the Application for registration of a related party can be sent to the Investigation Authority by post or email.
The deadline for registration of a related party is November 29, 2024.
