The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam initiates a review on the application of anti-circumvention measures on certain cane sugar products (Case number: AR01. AC02. AD13-AS01)

On 3rd August 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam issued Decision No. 1989⁄QD-BCT on results of the first review of anti-dumping measures and countervailing measures imposed on imports of certain cane sugar products originating in the Kingdom of Thailand.

Pursuant to Clause 1 Article 58 of the Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP dated 15th January 2018, within 60 days before the end of one year from the date of issuance of the decision on the imposition of official anti-dumping measures or the latest decision on the results of the review of anti-dumping measures, the interested parties may submit the dossiers for review. Accordingly, the Investigating Authority has received a request for a review of anti-circumvention measures imposed on certain cane sugar products submitted by the Viet Nam Sugarcane and Sugar Association, representing domestic manufacturing enterprises.

Based on reviewing the dossier submitted by the interested parties, on 6th September 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2386/QD-BCT on reviewing the application of anti-circumvention measures on certain cane sugar products (case number: AR01.AC02.AD13-AS01).

To ensure the interests of all organizations and individuals relevant to the case, the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam recommends:

Entities can register as an interested party by filing the form provided in Annex 1 of Circular No. 37/2019/TT-BCT dated 29 November 2019 and submit it to the Investigating Authority through the Trade Remedies Case Online Filing System (TRAV ONLINE - https://online.trav.gov.vn) within sixty (60) working days from the issuance date of the decision. At the same time, the interested party may submit the form to the Investigating Authority by post or emails.

The deadline for registration as an interested party is 29th November 2024.
