The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam organizes a workshop "Trade remedies in the context of implementing Free Trade Agreements in 2023" in Nam Dinh City

On November 8, 2023, the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam in collaboration with the University of Industrial Economics and Technology organized a workshop on "Trade remedies in the context of implementing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) in 2023". This is an activity implementing the Project "Improving capacity on trade remedies in the context of participating in new generation FTAs for the period 2022-2025" approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1659⁄ QD-TTg dated October 2, 2021.

The seminar aims to raise awareness of trade remedies for officials, lecturers, students, and graduate students at universities, research agencies, and educational and training establishments. …

The conference was attended by experts from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, universities, delegates from businesses and students in the province.

At the seminar, experts presented Vietnam's legal system and trade remedies practices in the context of participating in FTAs; Practice and the impact of trade defense measures in recent times; Respond to trade defense investigations initiated by foreign countries on Vietnamese export goods; Warn of items which are at risk of being investigated and applying trade remedies - Introduct an early warning system.

After the presentation of experts from the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam, lecturers and students exchanged and discussed enthusiastically to clarify the content that the experts shared in the seminar.

Through the seminar, officials, lecturers, and students at the school had a deeper understanding of trade defense measures and how to apply and handle them effectively in accordance with international commitments to protect the legitimate interests of Vietnamese businesses.
