Public hearing - Anti-dumping investigation on wind tower products originating from the People’s Republic of China (Case number: AD18)
On August 22nd, 2024, the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam (TRAV) held a public hearing on the investigation of the application of anti-dumping measures on wind tower products originating from the People's Republic of China (Case number: AD18).
The public hearing is conducted in accordance with the provisions of Article 70 of the Law on Foreign Trade Management 2017 and Article 13 of Decree No. 10/2018/ND-CP on guidelines for the law on Foreign Trade Management on trade remedies to create opportunities for parties involved in the case to present their opinions, viewpoints as well as providing information related to the case.
The public hearing took place with the participation of 13 representatives from interested parties, including:
- TRAV – Investigating Authority;
- Domestic manufacturing enterprises;
- Foreign manufacturing and exporting enterprises;
- Importing enterprises; and
- Authorized representatives of parties involved in the AD18 case participated in the hearing.
At the public hearing, the Investigating Authority (IA) listened to the opinions of representatives of all parties involved in the case. All opinions and viewpoints of the interested parties will be summarized, considered and evaluated by the IA in the Final Determination of the investigation. The IA ensure that the investigation will be carried out in a fair and transparent manner in accordance with the provisions of Vietnamese law and the WTO.

Case Information - On September 25th, 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Decision No. 2494/QD-BCT on the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation on wind tower products originating from the People’s Republic of China (Case number: AD18). - On August 22nd, 2024, the Investigating Authority held a public hearing for interested parties to create opportunities to present their opinions and provide necessary information. The hearing session was held in person and online with the participation of representatives of interested parties. Next, the Trade Remedies Authority of Viet Nam will finalize the final determination of the case. Based on the Final Determination, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will issue an Official Decision on the case. |
