Conference on "Disseminating information on trade remedies and the issue of determining market economy in Vietnam's trade remedies cases" in Dong Thap province

On November 19, 2024, the Trade Remedies of Authority of Vietnam - Ministry of Industry and Trade coordinated with the Department of Industry and Trade of Dong Thap to organize the Conference "Disseminating information on trade remedies and the issue of determining the market economy in Vietnam's trade remedies cases" in Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province.

As part of a series of activities to carry out propaganda and improve knowledge on trade remedies for state management agencies, industry associations, businesses and interested organizations and individuals, especially discussing in-depth contents that are current trends of interest (for example, the issue of market economy), on the basis of suitability with the local practical situation in Dong Thap Province.

At the Conference, the reporters from the Trade Remedies of Authority of Vietnam shared an overview of the law on trade remedies and the issue of determining the market economy in Vietnam's trade remedies cases, typical cases on trade remedies issues; the situation of foreign trade remedies investigation on Vietnam's export goods, emphasizing the key export industries of Dong Thap province such as seafood, rice, garment, footwear, etc. and at the same time giving recommendations to respond to foreign-initiated trade remedies investigations on Vietnam's export goods. In addition, the reporters answered questions of interest from state management agencies and industry representatives, business associations in Dong Thap province. The conference is a useful activity to help state management agencies, relevant units and enterprises in the province gain a deeper understanding of trade remedies measures and how to apply them effectively, thereby gradually improving the competitiveness of local products, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of the province.
