Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam Seeks Comments on Exemption Request in the Anti-Dumping Duty Case on Cold-Rolled Steel Products

The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (TRAV) is currently receiving exemption request dossiers regarding the application of anti-dumping measures on cold-rolled steel products under the scope of Decision No. 3390/QD-BCT dated December 21, 2020, by the Minister of Industry and Trade, which imposes official anti-dumping duties on cold-rolled (cold-pressed) steel products in coil or sheet form originating from the People's Republic of China.

To provide a basis for considering exemption requests (limited in volume, quantity of exempted goods, and exemption purpose) submitted by the relevant companies, TRAV respectfully requests that industry associations and domestic manufacturers gather and confirm the following information:

(i) The production and supply capability of domestic manufacturers regarding the products for which exemption is requested. If such products can be produced and supplied, please provide detailed information on design capacity, sales contracts, and invoices for each product group subject to the exemption request;

(ii) Opinions and viewpoints on the exemption for each product group being proposed.

Details on the characteristics of the products for which exemptions are being requested can be found in the attached appendix.

TRAV requests that associations and companies submit their responses by June 17, 2025. After this deadline, if no feedback is received, TRAV will consider that the associations and companies have no opinion regarding the exemption of the mentioned product groups.
