Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam Receives a Complete and Valid Dossier Requesting an Anti-Dumping Investigation on Clear Float Glass Products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia

The Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam (Investigating Authority) has received a dossier submitted by companies representing the domestic industry (the Petitioner), requesting an anti-dumping investigation on clear float glass products originating from Indonesia and Malaysia. On June 6, 2025, the Investigating Authority confirmed that the dossier was complete and valid in accordance with the provisions of trade remedies law.

Next Steps:

Within 45 days from the date of confirmation of the complete and valid dossier, the Investigating Authority will assess the dossier to submit to the Minister of Industry and Trade for consideration on whether to initiate an investigation.

The assessment will include:

(i) Determining whether the organization or individual submitting the dossier legally represents the domestic industry, as stipulated in the Law on Foreign Trade Management;

(ii) Determining evidence of dumping of imported goods that causes or threatens to cause significant injury to the domestic industry, or significantly hinders the establishment of a domestic industry.

To support the assessment process and ensure the legitimate rights and interests of domestic enterprises that produce or trade goods under investigation, the Investigating Authority requests that domestic companies producing or trading goods similar to those subject to the investigation provide the following relevant information:

• Type of business (e.g., manufacturing, trading, etc.);
• Design capacity and production volume of clear float glass from 2021 to 2024;
• The company’s opinion on the case (support, oppose, or no opinion);
• Any other documents/evidence the company deems relevant to the case.

Deadline to provide the above information: June 27, 2025.
