Introduction and Guidance on Exploiting Data from the Early Warning System in Trade Defense for Wood, Steel, and Textile Enterprises in Binh Duong Province, April 22, 2025

In the context of increasingly deep international economic integration and the constant fluctuations of the global market, protecting the interests of export businesses has become more urgent than ever. Based on the proposal of the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Duong Province, on April 22, 2025, Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam TRAV) coordinated the organization of the workshop “Introduction and Guidance on Exploiting Data from the Early Warning System in Trade Defense for Wood, Steel, and Textile Enterprises in Binh Duong Province” to equip businesses in the province with in-depth knowledge, risk prevention skills, and the fastest response to challenges from the international competitive environment.

With a strategic focus on enhancing legal awareness and the capacity to respond to trade defense investigations, the workshop attracted a large number of manufacturing and exporting businesses in Binh Duong province. These programs not only aim to update the latest knowledge on the legal framework for trade defense but also encourage businesses to build a robust internal management system, thereby confidently responding to market fluctuations.

At the workshop, experts from TRAV shared detailed practical experiences, provided information on current trade defense measures, and guided businesses on how to use legal channels to protect their interests. Business owners became familiar with international procedures and standards, from preparing documents and gathering evidence to initiating lawsuits and resolving trade disputes. Through this, they not only master legal regulations but also gain a better understanding of market mechanisms, thereby making rational and correct strategic decisions.

In addition, businesses also gain access to and begin to understand the early warning system for products at risk of being investigated for trade defense measures, and investigations into circumvention of trade defense measures initiated by foreign countries against Vietnamese export goods.

Strengthening trade defense capabilities not only protects the legitimate rights of businesses but also contributes to maintaining the reputable image of Vietnamese products in the international market. Through this, Binh Duong has affirmed its pioneering role in building a healthy business environment and creating strong trust from international business partners. With the support of state management agencies in this field, businesses in Binh Duong province can confidently assert their brands in the face of challenges in the context of increasing global competition.
